Holmegaard Per Lutken (1916 - 1998) succeeded Jacob Bang as artistic director in 1946. Now recognised as one of Denmark's most prominent glassware designers, he became more and more experimental throughout his extensive career with the company. His early work epitomises the post-war Scandinavian Modern aesthetic of simple organic forms. Distinctive in its soft colour and liquid form, the signed handblown pieces he called 'living glass' now fetch high prices with collectors. Email for our latest Holmegaard pieces.
